Bad earth

Post by dogbreath100 »

Hi ,
I have a slight if not annoying problem with my van .
It's an 84 with a 1.9 Diesel engine . I think that I have a bad earth somewhere .
Am I right in thinking that there are 3 earth points , 1 , earth crown above glove box , 2 , passenger side rear
panel and 3 , cable from battery to alternator .
I have cleaned these 3 points but am I missing something ? thanks .

Battery to chassis is the obvious missing link. Then gearbox to chassis.

Always worth adding an additional earth from the end of the gearbox. Sometimes there is a second earthcrown under the dash a well.
