Wasn't for very long and I wasn't too keen on looking down, I think about 4800. Ian told me I should have a rev limit of 5000 even if the engine will rev beyond that.

So I've played around with gear ratios/tyre size data and reckon the indicated 160 km/h (99.5 mph) was an actual speed of 92mph. I would need to rev to 5300 to be doing a genuine 100mph. At silverbullet's suggested rev limit of 5000, top speed would be 95mph. Of course the main advantage of the 2.5 engine is torque, it pulls well from 1500rpm in top and I can actually still accelerate uphill.
It would seem the power estimate of 130 to 140 BHP is about right.
