1Y engine in, now need suitable GEARBOX.. Advise please?

Post by MattGough »

I have a 1986 T25 which did have the 1.6 TD (JX). The headgasket was gone and other issues with the engine, so I have sourced and put in a nice 1.9D (1Y) engine.

I've just had the van back from the garage and the gearbox is now leaking... Second gear slips out (it did before the new engine though) and I'm thinking it may be wise to get a new/recon gearbox.

Any advise on where I might source a second hand gearbox and what type to look for would be hugely appreciated.

Cheers in advance for any help!

Matt
