Evening all,
Usual, any help much appreciated if possible?
Trying to remove/replace one the aforementioned. Needless to say it ain't come out easily on first attempt. Now giving the thread a good soaking in WD 40 and will try again later, but Haynes manual (Golf-Vento book and aaz engine) says if having problems, try an injector puller or slide hammer.
Slide hammer? Does the action of this - slowly, you hope! - suppose to undo the tread with every hit?, is that how it's meant to work?
Plan B was either trying to get a long 'tommy bar' - about 6ft + say, and try to slowly turn the socket to get more leverage, but wary of snapping something doing that??
Any tips/help much appreciated.

Slide hammer would be for injectors that are held in with a clamp I would have thought. Can't see how it would work with screw in ones.

Thanks OBG. Don't why they mentioned that in the Haynes manual though when the AAZ injectors are screw in, but there you go. Ta for taking the trouble to answer though.
