Hi
I'm about to fit the turbocharger to the rebuilt engine with the JX manifold. I seem to remember that the dealer told me there is no gasket between the exhaust manifold and turbocharger flange. Is that correct? I planned to get the turbocharger rebuilt, but when I had a look I couldn't feel any play in the shaft and the blades spin freely. It seems to be pretty oily, but there were several leaks from that side of the engine...The compressor side however, seems pretty caked with a dark, powdery, sooty looking layer...any idea what caused this? Would you try the turbo with a clean, maybe new gaskets, or go the whole hog? Cheers
