Hi all.
After rebuilding the aaz it's lost 3 litres of oil in the first 1200 mile. Most of it on motorways doing 50mph.
The oil is coming from the top of the dipstick.
I know I have the wrong dipstick. Green handle on the dipstick and red plastic end on tube with no rubber seal. The dipstick just sits in there with no seal at all.
Is the oil leak down to
-the incorrect dipstick and lack of seal
-or the fact that the piston rings aren't bedded in resulting in excessive crankcase pressure.
It does start first turn of the key every time so I don't think Theres any compression issue.
Also, what dipstick setup should I have and where could I get one. Tried looking on brickwerks etc.
Cheers
Aaz oil leak.
