Over the course of a few days:

1. Changed both differential oil seals
2. New gator on gear selector on the gearbox
3. Put second jubilee clip on the coolant to radiator pipe on my subaru engine as the thing constantly leaked no matter what. Seems ok now.
4. Yet again having to tap and put power to my bosch inline fuel pump with my power probe as it seems to stick if the van is not used for several days. Initially I found an earth fault but cured now and still happens. Very inconvenient!

I’ve taken advantage of today’s good weather and had the front seats and rear cushions out and used the carpet washer on them then used it inside on all the carpets. I’ve cleaned the sink and hob/grill and all the cupboards. Cleaned the dash. And this morning before the sun hit it I wash/waxed then waxed it again high top as well! It’s so shiny it’s blinding me every time I look out the kitchen window. Quick oil change in a bit and I’m done.

Took the units out of Smurfette and fitted some vinyl flooring, cheap and finishes the inside off nicely. Now for curtains and to recover the cushions.Image

Managed to track down the annoying ”tapping” sound under the dash that only happens intermittently on idle...was part of the wiper mechanism. Sorted! Also added a bit more sound deadening upfront for good measure. I'm sure another tap will turn up soon but happy for now.

Used a bit of truck wash to clean the steering wheel... no longer tacky!

Removed peeling vinyl covering on fridge and replaced with an old map of Devon!

Identified the need for a new fuse for the habitation water pump... note to self to get one!

Identified window leaks - temporary fix with gaffa (will fix properly when this rain stops).

Looked into fitting isofix to r&r seat... part now on order.

Wrote a list of everything else I need to do!

Bit of welding to the nearside trailing arm mount where rust has taken its toll. Whole area needs cutting off and replacing really, but some plating now will keep it going a bit longer.

Welding is a fun task as I have to work on the street, so its gas-less MIG for maximum splatter and fumes, whilst lying upside down in the gutter.

Wish I had a garage!

Today, we have fitted Ida with Isofix, replaced the existing double 3-pin socket with a double USB and double 3-pin socket, fitted a further double USB socket in the rear, fitted a tracker and used frame sealant as a temporary window leak repair!

Tomorrow, we hope the bearing for the sliding door will arrive so we can get the sliding door fixed (currently can’t open it as the existing bearing has snapped in half).

Then on Sunday we’re hoping to take her out for our first day trip!

Washed, dried and ironed the curtains and bunting. De-algae’d and tidied up the passenger 3/4 window and put some of the rubbers back into place properly. Removed the outer scraper and put it back on correctly. Looked online for all the parts I’ll end over the next year. Then took her for a drive and waved madly at a fellow T25 in a lay-by; hoping they were just resting up and no issues.

Hope you managed a dry run out too DanT.

Thank you - we had a fab drive up to the moors for a spot of lunch cooked on the hob!

Saturday fixed sliding door!

Yesterday managed a couple of other odd jobs... replaced missing bolt holding pop top to roof of bus, general tidying and organising and bodged the drivers door handle so we can actually use it! Will arrange replacement in due course...

Hope everyone had a good weekend!
