Starting to get there with the rustoleum, by the time I’ve finished I’ll be good at it :(

Cleaned a ton of "pooh" from under the steering wheel and cleaned/lubricated everything. Then continued to have a go at the rear seam rash :?.. dremell, scrape, primer, paint. Going to need a proper sorting soon.

Put in a 99 relay and pulled out the white peg for intermittent wipers. Had to be the easiest bit of work I have ever done on the van. 10 minutes tops! :D

No bodywork progress but went up to the van a couple of days ago to turn the engine over as it's been stood in the workshop for a few months; the battery was absolutely dead. Connected a booster pack and it barely turned over - joy, I thought, a new battery needed... put it on 'recondition' change for a few days, went up yesterday and it's fully charged. Engine turned over and fired up first turn of the key! :D

Tried to sort the lack of window wash fluid coming through... had the tank off, cleaned it all the way to the T-piece. Looks like it's blocked behind the dash somewhere...
Found out the solar panel isn't charging my batteries.
Found out my "leisure battery" is the same as the starter battery, which is why it's sh*te!
Found out there's no split charger system.

Sourced all the parts I'm going to need, and made a list of jobs to do in the cab when the dash comes out.

I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.

Nothing!!

I tore a muscle in my left shoulder last week lifting the spare tyre (badly), felt better today so went to fit the new rear bumper.

1 spanner slip and left arm is useless again

Removed the spare wheel, waffle boards and spares box from the roofrack and the tailgate box from the tailgate,
Replaced the offside exhaust mount (4 bolts - absolute pig of a job)
Replaced the horn
Fitted a new upper grill locating clip in the headlight bracket - utter pig. Broke the first one trying to force it in - the metal tabs don't bend much !!
Discovered the source of the rattling noise which had been buggin me all the way to the Pyrenees and back (I thought it was due to the broken exhaust mount).
Discovered how rusty the swing away wheel carrier is under the powder coating !! 3 years old and needs to be taken off to be stripped and painted!
