Thanks and cheerio!

So as of last Sunday, I'm no longer the owner of a T25.
Made the decision to sell up while the going was good and the van was running well with all the work I put into it over the last couple of years.
We're thinking of getting something a bit more modern but we'll see how things go.
I really had no idea that I would feel so emotional about seeing it roll out of our driveway for the last time. A nice young couple bought it and they're at the same sort of stage in their lives as me and my wife were when we bought it almost 10 years ago.I'm sure they'll really enjoy it.
It's true what they say that it becomes another member of the family. Looking back through old photos it's amazing how the van was always there in the background!
I made a wee photo montage video for the kids and while we were watching it I was getting the feeling that someone was chopping onions somewhere, my 8 year old daughter couldn't believe it and she said it was the first time she'd ever seen me cry!

I just wanted to thank everyone on the forum. I've learned so much from owning and working on the van. There is such a wealth of knowledge on here and everyone is so generous with their advice.
A special word of thanks for BigHerb for providing all the information on the electric fuel pump conversion and everyone who contributed to the paint your wagon thread.

If anyone wants to watch my soppy montage, the link is here.

Wishing everyone many years of happy motoring and MOT success! All the best.

Hope you dont miss the T3. All our 3 kids grew up with our vans and they are 24 26 and 29 now. We never said "too small for the family" and just adapted to suit. Our 82 Devon has been in the family for 22 years now but we had an 84 diesel panel van I converted for 9 years previously, and now have a Syncro to play with as well.... I think we are certifiable, but it could be worse!

hotel california....

Last thing I remember, I was
Running for the door
I had to find the passage back to the place I was before
'Relax' said the night man,
'We are programmed to receive.
You can check out any time you like,
But you can never leave!'

I've had my van since 2003 and my kids were 4 and 1 when I bought it so I know exactly what this lad is going through, the boy has stopped coming now (19) but his sister spent the weekend with me at the Bridgnorth show just 3 days ago.

I realise my years with the family are numbered but what a blast I've had over the last 15years and owe it all to the unique thing that bring us together, not to mention some saft forum I frequent occasionally, I hope he knows what he's doing!

Good luck mate.
