Timing and the lack of.....

Postby skysurfin09 » 05 Jan 2018, 07:06

I am proud to announce to my fellow sufferers that the engine problems that I had with Doris are at an end(fingers crossed) and normal driving will commence.

This is the important bit, anyone who comes across me in my travels has but to whisper TIMING gets a free drink on me. Seriously.
I swopped the two distributors and coils given to me by Em1re that I'd lost track of the timing and consequently was out by 180*. Trying to get her to start for 6 days after Christmas only to no avail. Pop the dizzy out,(by now velcroed in place) turn it 180* and Hey Presto she runs like a sewing machine.
So it's official, I'm a prat and the beer is on me....Thank you for your patience.....Rob :rofl :rofl
