We buy any soul dot com?

Postby silverbullet » 31 Dec 2017, 19:46

I leave you with this thought to close 2017:

Phil "I never touched the gopher" Schofield has licensed his likeness and name for a tv advert for "we buy any car.com"

Breakfast telly clearly doesnt pay well enough these days...

That would be because no one actually watches day time tv, and if they do, it isn’t going to be terrestrial advert tv

Anyhow.......
Here my thought for the new year ......
A Hundred years ago , only the rich had cars and the rest of us had horses ..... now only the rich have horses and rest of us have cars , how the stables have turned .........

Happy new year !

Oh that's him. Well I admit to watching a load of dumbed down TV over the years but I never associated the name - Phil Schofield - that is, attached to a face. I guess he didn't have much impact on me then :x

But Her Ladyship and I have historically used the appearance in TV ads to signify the twilight time of a career. So I was mildly puzzled to see Jeremy (the uncouth) one flogging that firestick thing. :?

As if any one of us would find it easy to turn down huge sums of money for doing nothing. It's simple enough to make a moral judgement about other people 'selling out' but if it were you that had earned the right to get offers from ad agencies, would you honestly wave away a massive cheque with a superior smile? Would you turn to your wife and kids and happily tell them you'd just turned down a million quid that could have been earned in a day?

Don't know about you lot but my wife would kill me if I tried that.
