HIC do this, i'm not a share holder but i'm happy enough with them and the euro breakdown they do that ive been with them for 8 yrs or more.

More importantly the bits I remember about doing this. its a bit foggy now.

It is a 30 day cover policy and needs transferring onto a UK reg policy withing that time and becomes an annual policy - if not, it becomes expensie as the cover stops and you've still paid equivalent of a year.
Expensive but handy and only really suits temp cover of an import whilst DVLA do their magic.

so, make sure everything is filled, you have the correct documents and info and that its all ready to go as the process time takes about 30 days

We can insure on a chassis number and will give you 30 days to get it registered in the UK (if it needs to be extended, we can assess on an individual basis). Might be worth giving us a call, ask for me (Christian) and I'll see what we can do for you. I'm here until 5:30 today but then off until next Thursday :)

Thanks for the responses....some interesting food for thought...I approached my insurer and they have said nothing about 30 days....I have some questions to ask before I sign on the dotted line then :-)
