I technically paid nothing for mine! But I swapped it for my old 2005 Audi A3 which I paid about £7k for a few years before

Exactly!! it's only worth what two people are prepared to pay.
It does look like a nice example though.

1990 Westy California Pop top 1.6jx td
2012 - paid 5k
Mileage -350km - new engine in bus only 28k
Condition - body work av/poor
Spent £500 only on parts welding and servicing free labour

I also got a thermal pop top cover, westy tow bar, roof box, roof bars, thermal screens and various spares.

Pleased with the deal I got at the time and would think worth maybe 6-7k at the moment.

£365 in 2007 ;) Thats my present one

£150 for a doka before that (1997)

£50 for a sky blue Aircooled T25 in 1992

£120 for a bay in 1989

£50 for a bug (in 1987) which went nowhere but sold it a year later for £100.

£10 for a 1302 in 1985 that had sat so long it wasn't a viable restoration but sold it for parts.

Paid £6000 for my 1985 1.9DG RHD high-top earlier this year. Bodywork very good, fit out very good with all usual camping refinements, propex etc, even came with a very nice Khyam awning and everything. Mechanically its sound as a pound, done 90k. All it's cost me so far is servicing costs, an alignment/tracking check and materials to stonechip the underside and cavity wax it. It was a little more than I had budgeted, but I'd been looking for a year and hadn't found anything approaching the condition for the price. From my experience there are a lot of cheaper examples out there requiring more bodywork/mechanical work than I was prepared to undertake and I decided to spend more in the short term than spend more over time fixing things. I think the days of good, cheap T25's are disappearing, now bay windows are starting to go for silly money.

Price- £5000 from my grandfather (Only actually paid £1500 so far)
When- Mar 2017 (but I've been borrowing it since 2011 when he was told he couldnt drive it anymore)
Mileage- 89K with a missing 300 miles when i took it to somerset with no speedo
Condition- Very good condition, with only the corroded fuel tank issue that needs sorting. No rust, everything original except speakers. Serviced every year with only 2010 and 2014 missing, actually needs a new service book as the spaces are all full, all documents including original quote and reciepts from dealer in a folder. 2 failed MOTs since new, once on an insecure driver seat (after battery replacement) and once on a non working horn.
Body type- Autosleeper pop top
Engine- 1.9 petrol
Gearbox- 5sp manual.
