Not had any yet this year, this was last year when I was driving 90 mile round trip to my mate's garage to do my restoration work.

You've got a slightly better view there than mine - and more snow! Where is it?

Photo was taken at The Old Man of Storr, Isle of Skye. about 30 miles from home.
Deliberately taken in the same spot as one Paul took of his.
I'll take another this year now the restoration's done.

I've heard about that place but never been! Looks amazing - and 30 miles from home! Quite jealous...

If you live in Scotland you can use this site to see where the gritters are.
Dunno if there's an english version.
Some of them even have names for the gritters.
There's one called Sir Grits-alot. :rofl

how do they actually handle in the snow? my old TRIFLE with rear wheel drive was terrible especially if no weight in the back.

Better than my rear wheel drive ranger with A/T tyres on.
narrow tyres and weight over the driven wheels helps. :D

I spotted this lurking in my front garden this morning, think it wanted to come in out of the cold.
