Steve at Gasure Chester

Postby Sir Brixalot » 30 Nov 2017, 09:33

I wanted to say thanks and recommend Steve to anyone on here who doesn't know already. My van was way off on emissions and loads of niggly problems causing random breakdowns on both gas and petrol. It's a long drive up but worth every mile. The van's been to many different garages locally and that plus various RAC, Britannia rescue's tinkering meant that both chokes were permanently open, blos was even fitted upside down (after a breakdown in Bournemouth over a year ago!) and the LPG service I'd had done in London hadn't been done properly as the tank in the cupboard and electrics had never been checked. I'm getting about 30 extra miles per tank on LPG now.

The van now starts on the button, switches over cleanly and sounds so smooth, it could be a different vehicle. Steve has always been helpful and even sent me a couple of parts over the years to get me out of a jam. I'm not brown nosing, don't think Steve reads this forum but decent knowledgeable T25 experts are hard to find and I wanted to pas my views on to new members. Also Chester is a great place to pass the time while the Vans being fixed.

I used to drive up but the drive was so long that I started trying to find someone reliable down here, tried loads, all recommended but from not on I'll go back to driving up to Gasure at Chester. I like night driving and in any case and Steve gives back to members with maintenance courses etc

Had my LPG conversion at Gasure. Had a few more dealings there too. Coffee might be good but he don't do Yorkshire tea!! I'm hoping to get another conversion there next year, Certainly a proper mechanic and a proper gentleman! John's not too bad either. :D
