Probably talking about Wembley, think it lost its magic when the old one got knocked down, Craven cottage yet another characteristic old ground to go. Yes these old grounds were crumbling, uncomfortable with poor viewing seats, but they had something about them.

:D
I don't think Wembley needed a mention mate.
It's a National football monument.
Hence the "family silver" comment

I went to today's last home game not expecting much. Birmingham needed a win. Ollie put out basically a reserve team with lots of young lads on the pitch.

As usual the first half was poor going 0-1 down. Two minutes later it was 1-1. Second half the Rs dominated and 3-1 was a fair result. Brum is a poor side and if they survive they need to get some better players.

Well done to Wycombe!

Final home game verses Sheffield Wednesday
Bit of an anticlimax.
The Owls came to Molinuex and parked the bus.
Why ?
Team is safe, they can play.
So lets enjoy the day!

Anyhow Wolves dominated and those poor travelling fans were left with two efforts on goal to cheer.

We have to find a way to unlock this tactical shut out

Just watched Rotherham beat Shrewsbury in the League One playoff final. This means the three clubs that went down last season (Wigan, Blackburn and Rotherham) are all going back up.
Also watched the championship final yesterday - not surprised Fulham won. Villa look like an ageing team.
And as for Gareth Bale.. well, what can you say? Just a shame only the biggest of clubs can afford to bring him back to the UK.

It's mostly about money now, if you drop down a league you can often outspend anyone else in the relegated league (due to parachute payments) in getting in new players or affording the current squad for 1 more season which kinda competed in the league above.

I knew Jokanović would get Fulham up, I didn't want him to leave us (Watford), when he got us promoted, a decent deal was offered on the table I think a million a year be he wanted 2 mill, so contract talks broke down. He is a very attacking & talented manager; say if you 1-0 down after 65 mins the attackers are coming on.

Bale well we all know it will be City which can afford him, makes a mockery of the system.

The saddest thing about the final is that none of Karius' teammates could find it in the hearts to go to him at the end of the match. The best thing is that the fans were better than that and applauded him when he went to them to apologise.

Well that’s a bit of a worry. The last time the Germans went out in the group stage was 1938.
