We were down in Edinburgh in Feb and spotted a nice California two doors down from our hotel.
The same on turned up on Skye last night and I got chatting to the occupants, a friendly dutch couple who'd hired it from the owner.

What struck me was the reg, (D501 OHR) very similar to mine, (D470 OHR) both were registered in Swindon on 1st September 1986.
Both now living 600 miles north of Swindon, within 50 miles of each other. small world huh.

It looks very much like mine did (in photo approx 2006), when I first bought mine. Though mine doesn't look like that now, very abused and deteriorated!

he wasn't a particular fan of it though, rust, rust, rust, sloppy gearshift, rust, maintenance costs, rust..... hahaha...

Really nice grey and cream pop top wildcamping on the downs. Good timing as it’s inspired me to push on and get mine professionally resprayed

Yellow high top heading towards Oswestry on the A5 today as we passed in the opposite direction in my CMax enroute to Holyhead.
Didn't see any others over the mountain!

Saw an LT 35 Westfalia heading into Aberystwyth this morning (by Wildfowler pub in tre-ddol) when I was on the bike and then a lovely green T25 Westfalia parked up in Morrisons car park in Aber in the afternoon!

We were on our way back to Crewe after a weekend in Anglesey. Always come back along the a5, a lot less traffic than the a55 on a Sunday
Hope you had a good journey. Are you going to Ireland?
