that's a windscreen washer pump for a 1923 vanguard straight 12 for sure :D

BigHerb is right on the money.

Perkins Prima, the old Montego/Maestro 2.0 turboD lump and this one is from a 1-owner Maestro van!

The reason why the pump is so massive is because its also the engine mount at that end.

Apparently they are a very robust and long-lived engine, shame about the cars but they did set a new world record for economy in their day...

They are tough but a bit smokey, the first direct injection car engine, but they didn't do a TD in the Maestro van only NA, still went like stink though. Good in boats as well.
