Re: Advice

The worst of that could be tapped out with a hammer and dolly, then hit with filler and paint and you would never tell it had been hit, replacing a panel for that is overkill, i had to replace the panel on my van because it looked like this, THIS justified a replacement, this had been hit by a fence...

Re: Power File

I have an air powered one that takes the 330mm x 10mm belts, and like everyone else's they do snap belts quite quickly when used on metal, but i haven't tried any expensive belts for it like the Norton ones so maybe they would make a difference...or it could be marketing BS, its a handy tool none th...

Re: 1.8Gti Kjet - What would you do?

No not replace beacause of it, but I am thinking of dropping the block to replace all the wearable bits, so if i was to get it out anyway might not been too much more effort to just pop another in. I enjoy the mechanics side and would be tempted by a simple conversion like a AGG or 1Z Tdi myself as...

Re: Garys Westfalia Multivan

Didn't get much done to the van other than tiger sealing up the welding under the arches due to my neck being a bit knackered from sleeping at a funny angle so did a bit more work on the "oven" and got some pics of the Blasting cabinet, here is some progress pics on them Blast cab http://i...

Re: Garys Westfalia Multivan

Hope you reported that stolen number plate. They would have nicked it for a reason. 'Ringing' another vehicle, probably. Oh...great work by the way. Aye, It was the police that woke me up to tell me, they chapped on the door to tell me one of my neighbours seen the guys taking it off the car around...

Re: What colour should i paint the HiTop?

Cheers for the T3 designer link guys, never seen it before, although not that it matters as i already have my paint sitting there waiting to go on, i think with the likes of pop tops and hi-tops they generally have to be white, tin tops you can kind of play about with the colour as the roofline is s...

Re: Getting to grips with a rotten roof (Pic heavy)

Please, please don't mention neighbours. Friday, elderly nutso neighbour parked his car across the narrow lane where we live to get someone to call the police so he could complain to them about my van. When it didn't work out he started ranting and raving. When I ignored that, he started grabbing h...

Just to check when you swap in an aaz you do keep the aaz sump pan don't you? Not too familiar with the specifics of vw engine swaps, don't want to source a sump then find its the wrong one
