Re: Relay draining both batteries...
if you have a tracker than can power a relay by txt commamd then surely its independent of ignition power? I'd suggest they are not supposed to be immobilised for long periods by this relay, its something you can do it it gets stolen. If you want long term imobilisation fit a manual switch Thats ex...

Relay draining both batteries...
I wonder if you can clarify something. I had cause to go in my van earlier and both batteries are drained. Has to have something to do with the tracker I have fitted. I have had it 'immobilized' for a week and not taken it out but equally left it longer before without a run and he's started first ti...

Re: Running ropy and stalling
I was talking about the gasket on the Accelerator pump.
Also is seems nobody does the longer version unless you buy the whole rebuild kit.

Re: Running ropy and stalling
Nah, took carb off and gave it a good clean - might do it again though.
Also, took old diaphragm off as the result of tonnes of advice re a flat spot.

Running ropy and stalling
Hi,
I removed the old Accelerator Pump Diaphragm only to find the replacement was the wrong size. So gasket was a bit knackered before re-fitting the old one again. Would that cause sporadic stalling, cutting out and a generally rough ride as he was absolutely fine before that.
Thanks,
Tony

Relay for Immobiliser
Hi,
Where would be the best place to fit a relay for an immobiliser?
PM me if that's more comfortable?
Cheers,
Tony

Thanks again..

Re: Fuel Pump Push Rod
easy as long as you have a new fuel pump gasket ( preferably 2), just undo the two M8 nuts, pull pump off and lift out pushrod, if it's flush just turn over engine until it stick up and use pliers to get hold of it, new one goes in flat end at the top, clean up gasket surfaces, new gasket, refit pu...

Fuel Pump Push Rod
I can't find anything like a guide to replacing the push rod. Is this because it's extremely simple? I don't really want to try fitting the new one without hearing these "....don't forget to...." comments.

Noise when turning point right...
Just been in a relatively long drive and after pulling up and taking a right turn heard a noise (in time with wheel turning) and coming from left hand wheel (front). Can't tell whether it's bearings or something else. Any ideas?

Alternator not starter.....
Contrary to what I thought it looks like it's the alternator that's playing up not the starter motor. Gone and ordered a new starter now but might as well for it and keep the old one as a spare. In the meantime are there any checks I can do before forking out for a new alternator? As a start it's on...
