Re: Speedo reading about +10 mph
Just an update; finally sorted this. Drove at 35, our speed limit, and looked at what it read. Pulled it apart twisted it to what it read at 35 and moved the needle to 35. Now it works. It's a bit more out at 50.

Halfrauds or similar should also have a collar as mentioned above. I just bought a mp3 head unit so it sat flush, doesn't look retro though.

I followed something similar the other day. I couldn't work out if it was a permanently on dash/reversing cam feed or something?

Re: Headlights stuck on full beam
Thanks a lot for your help. I took switch off, cleaned contacts, sprayed with WD40....seems to be working fine now. Fingers crossed...and a merry christmas to you all. [WHITE SMILING FACE] Pleased you got it sorted. Half way through upgrading my wiring to my headlights, I managed to get mine to do ...

Check the bolts inside the rear wheels from the shafts. These are prone to falling out! Trust me, I know!

I have a side elevating Devon roof: these are how the hinges fit on mine. Not sure if this helps. http://i258.photobucket.com/albums/hh250/joshs1988/hinge.jpg http://i258.photobucket.com/albums/hh250/joshs1988/Hinge%203.jpg http://i258.photobucket.com/albums/hh250/joshs1988/Hinge%202.jpg http://i258...

Re: Intermittent headlight
It's early type with I believe the separate wires for the dip. Took them out yesterday and then wire brushed and liberal amounts of switch cleaner but didn't make any difference. Unfortunately electrics are a bug bear to me. Thanks for the suggestion, I'll see again. Likewise. Electrics aren't my s...

Re: Intermittent headlight
Sounds like there is some dud wiring in there. Is it a early or late fuse box?
Each dipped beam on mine was on a separate connector on the fuse box. The early fuse box on screw with two screws which aids access. Might be worth getting your head under there and looking? Should be two yellow wires.

Re: Battery
It's entirely down to the camper. If you have a number of things that draw power when the van is parked up. i.e. security alarm, tracker etc. Then they will drain. Some people just start their van after 6 months others find them dead. Leave your fridge door ajar though.

Here's a few suggestions of thing to check/sort: Dirt or damage on front glass lens, absorbing light or changing the beam Damage to the silvered reflector Corrosion on 3-pin plug causing excess resistance (best fix is to replace the terminals or the whole plug) Excess resistance (due to wear/tarnis...

Re: The dash is out !
Run a fat power cable up to the dash with relays for the headlight. Take the blower off of it on a separate fuse. install central locking. Tidy all the wiring.

Wait, isn't this like the dehumidifier in a van theory? A T25 is not a sealed container, any attempt to alter the air inside it must be futile, it was designed to allow movement of air. I was considering for my house. On the basis I slept with the window open last night with a fan blowing air...

Re: Engine stumbling when warming up.
Just a side point, do you run your van every day prior to driving? I thought you weren't meant to leave them idle whilst cold. I was under the impression you should just drive them. Nit scream the bejesus out of it or anything but drive and low to mid revs till I warms up? Sent from my KFTT using Ta...
