1.8 or 2.0 gti ?

hi. im thinking about changing my diesel engine for a petrol lump. was thinking about a gti lump. i would probably preffer the 2.0 over the 1.8 but what is the performance bettween the two engines? is there much difference? i gather the 2.0 litre engine is taller so therefore a bit harder to fit ? s...

I have the bushes in the arms, when i put the arms back on would it be a good idea to use copper ease on the trailing arm bolts?
or is there a alternative grease i should use?

thanks it says on there that the serrated end goes to the side of the bolts head?
is that right for both inner and outer bushes?

Hi, i got the first trailing arm off, i need to get the bushes in now.
The bushes i bought have a serated edge on one end and a smooth edge the other end?
is this significant?
if so which way round do they go?

Ive already got a really good second hand set of arms that ive had stripped and galvanised, plus new bolts and bushes etc.

i spose i best start it soon.

Trailing arm replacement.

Ok now the weather milder, im gonna have a go at replacing my rotten trailing arms.

whats the best way to go about this as in a step by step routine?

Can any one help me? hi where can i get some new heater matrix coolant pipes for my old 1.6 diesel.

maybe there is another alternative hose i can use?

hydraulic pipe or something?
