Sliding door seals
Both sliding door seals are missing from my 1980 2.0 CU. Schofields stock some none genuine ones that fit left or right for 39.00. Anyone with experience of using them? They do stock a genuine left hand side seal for 128.00 but not the right. How do they fit? Glue or clips? (I have no existing seals...

Re: Water under driver and passenger floor mats after heavy rain.
It's been painted a couple of years ago and then stood after the fuel pump failed when the owner lost interest, some seam rash lower down and bubbling in places already, I'm under no illusions, it’s over 40 years old and there will be lots of filler! I can see new panels in places which concurs with...

Re: Engine tinware
Thanks for posting that , I'm missing various bits myself. Is that from a Haynes manual? If so I certainly need to invest.

Re: 2.0 CU Starting issues.
She lives :-) New fuel pump, fires on first turn :-) Runs okay, we went for a little shakedown run and I duly found the speedo isn't working and the fuel gauge seems to work on hills! I'll have a poke around with the speedo. Just pleased we have life :-) We went for a little drive and got 4 new tyre...

Water under driver and passenger floor mats after heavy rain.
Whilst looking in to a few other bits I lifted both front floor mats to find it damp/wet under there. (1980, 2.0 CU RHD)
The Van hasn't moved due to the fuel pump but it did rain very heavily.
Any ideas where this is likely to be getting in?
Many thanks in advance.

Re: Brake lights
Thanks for the advice, under both rubber boots looks good other than drivers side, two wires have splits in the sheath, plan to heat shrink wrap those once I confirm continuity etc. It's a 1980 2.0 CU, once hopefully running after the fuel pump is done I shall get back on to this. Schofields are jus...

Re: Brake lights
Hmm well the bulbs work when swapped with the indicators. Should the brake lights work with just the ignition on? Was wondering if it needs to be running due to being a pressure operated switch? Thinking it might be the switch, faulty or contacts need cleaned etc? Reading up is it correct that it is...
