"cock" it up and you'll be pumping carbon monoxide into the cab! New ones aren't too juicy and good second hand ones are about too! Me I wouldn't be risking anything else,

Re: Beetle tdi starting issue

Had starting issues on a late t4 TDI, from discussion with my vag master tech mate it appears TDI are very sensitive to crank speed. Not enough by as little as 50 rpm and it won't go in a month of Sunday's!
He vwas right, swapped starter for new one anbd it's been in the button ever since.

Might be a worthwhile trip, normally cold weather will show up a dead cell whereas in warmer weather you ...

Re: Carbs - Quick Dellorto Questions before Purchase!

I put a brand new mechanical pump on and had no issues with flow or pressure, much easier than the eleccy pump IMHO as some need regulators to stop flooding the dells. I bossed both inlets (cos vw did!!) And was fine. Def get it on a rolling road, you'll get the best set UP jet wise for performance ...

Re: Westfalia benefits

Westys are IMHO the best t3 camper you can get in terms of practically and clever storage space. Every nook and cranny is utilized and there's no orrid 20 year old carpet moulting as in Brit conversions.

Vw themselves sold westys through their dealership network!
