Picture of early sliding door catch for reference.
A good 10mm gap between catch and door card.
Spring looks different, been like this on mine for last 15 years. Never had to touch it...... yet!

My Dad used to have one to use on his Mk2 Cortina in the 70's.
Note the A series engine on box cover.

Re: Slow turnover with misfire
Any suggestions how this has changed so much from the last time it ran. Not changed or moved it at all. Suspect engine not at TDC in picture. Rotate engine 360° . Remove No.1 spark plug and use a screwdriver or similar to check piston at top of stroke. Rotor arm should be lined up with mark on rim ...

Re: Slow turnover with misfire
Distributor looks to be 180° out. There is a mark on distributor at around 4 o clock . That should TDC. You can see mark in picture.

Re: T25 Log book change from minibus
My V5 says minibus as it's a Caravelle. Removed all rear seats to fit a R& R bed years ago. Only 4 seats with belts for MOT, never been an issue.

Re: Covkid Gadget!
This what I use to check all is level when camping!
Seriously though, it looks a decent piece of kit for the price.

Re: Starter Batteries
Tayna Batteries. I've been using these for a while now for all my vehicles. Excellent value, UPS delivery and very knowledgeable on the phone. They certainly seem to know the quirks of our vans. Regards, Max. Tayna gets my vote too. Top service. Recently bought one for my son's VW Polo. Ordered at ...

Re: Recommended Exhaust for an Air-cooled T25
The twin tip gt one doesn’t fit ( unless they have modified it within the last few months , it touches the rear valance a lot , stock ones are pretty good, the vintage speed ones tend to get crazy hot and burn the paint off the valance I tried the stock mild steel one years ago, have to agree, it w...

Re: Recommended Exhaust for an Air-cooled T25
I have the stainless 2 tip gt on my 1.9 dg motor. Decent fit but quality of some of the welding suspect. Had to take it off after a few weeks to find source of rattle.
See pic. No issues since I welded it up properly.
