Re: High speed kangaroo

Before you go to those lengths Just as a matter of interest have you checked the non return valve from the manifold. Its the white hard plastic pipe to the left hand ...

Re: t25 running lumpy / kangaroo
Hi all :D :D :D :D :D think ive finally got it !!!! Hair line crack in the servo vacuum non return valve fitting where it connects to the manifold. It was only by chance that I noticed the fitting was a little slack when the engine was nicely warmed up. Took it off ( I can hear you all saying "...

Re: t25 running lumpy / kangaroo
Hi there, the van has always ticked over at round about 900-1000 rpm and up until the present issue has run with 0 problems, I could try increasing it to see if it makes any difference. (would that involve the co screw at the bottom of the carb?) Thanks for the info re the sender unit, saves me a jo...

Re: t25 running lumpy / kangaroo
Hi all, been working away, ive just got back to sorting the van and here's the latest update. Stripped and rebuilt the carb using the brickwerks kit, no change to the running performance ( incidentally the diaphragms and seals were in remarkable condition given the vans age, I'm sure they were all t...

Re: t25 running lumpy / kangaroo
Hi guys, just a quick question, when the Haynes manual talks about possible air leaks around the manifold inlet pipes as a possible cause of engine stutter what exactly is it referring to

Re: t25 running lumpy / kangaroo
brilliant food for thought like I said earlier the hall sender unit the whole dizzy and the carb are the only bits I've not actually stripped or changed. The hall sender unit might be the next step, can I buy the actual plug and re crimp it or , what i mean is i know the plug connects on the side of...

Re: t25 running lumpy / kangaroo
vwKat, LOL :D at this rate it will not be long before it is out though The initial problem started around 40mins into a trip then cleared. The van was used the next day covering around 10miles without problem. On the return trip home on the A18 it started again and got worse so in both cases the run...

Re: t25 running lumpy / kangaroo
Thanks for that, ill try anything, what is more frustrating is the fact that were not getting off at the weekends, we have missed just 4 in the past year, the weathers changing a bit which doesn't really bother us but I need to sort it. I know more about the bus than I thought I ever would and I'm d...

Re: t25 running lumpy / kangaroo
Well when it first happened the nice AA man told me he suspected an earth fault, he rerouted several of the earths and over the next day or so I renewed the rest, this was only in the engine bay though. Ive not changed the big earth strap from the gear box to the mainframe. The problem persisted and...
