I'm not getting any hits on the bearing websites for that part number 025105531C is the std /std bearing while 025105537 is the 0.25 / std bearing. Did you have any luck measuring the bearings ? yes I have measured the bearings and the crank the bearings measure 0.25 u.s as does the crank , but the...

Bearing number 2 the one that is split in 2 halves has VW Ca 025105539 Germany stamped on the casing side of the bearing on both halves so I presume they were made by vw , bearings 1,3 & 4 have no markings that I can see

Have you checked with VWHeratige about VW classic parts to see if there are any 0.5 oversize bearings with any crank size? yes talked to vw heratige and they have never heard of them , it was vw heratige who suggested Intried asking about my problem here at club 80-90 it seems line boring was more ...

you can have head stud spark erroded, I have a quote of £100 each cash in hand so not cheap. where are you based? West Midlands , all the companies local to me I have contacted say the engine case wont fit in there machines . I did take pics today and sent them to one company today waiting on a reply

Can you get 0.5 oversize case and standard crank? Standard cranks are easy to find as people are making later cases into 2.1s No cant seem to get them either , all I can find is standard crank and standard case or u.s crank standard case . Hi All I am trying to rebuild a water boxer engine , it is the earlier type I think as the bearing set up is of the single thrust bearing set up . it has a blue dot crank which measures 0.25mm under standard .
