Re: Switch lights on, engine cuts out
Sorted it - Turns out the connector at the ignition switch is missing! It's been bodged with a bunch of poorly attached crimps, poorly crimped and several the wrong size. Took a while but got all crimpy and sorted the whole lot - yay
Thanks for all the input folks!

Re: Switch lights on, engine cuts out
Ok cheers. Have checked there, all tightened etc. and no difference - well I though it was sorted but now the van is cutting out at random. I have heard an electrical crackle noise from the glovebox area though when it happens. I've been told there's some earthing crown type thing in this area, is t...

Switch lights on, engine cuts out
Hi All. Now this is interesting. Definitely a new one for me: I'm heading back from the MOT today and discovered that when I switch my headlights on, the engine cuts out! I'm guessing there's a short somewhere but anyone know where I might start looking?

Re: Damaged double glazed pop-top window
Really? Well I certainly haven't so far! Mine's the Holdsworth Villa 3 solid sided type. I don't have the dimensions but I can get them tomorrow. Still can't see how to post pics! I have before though, odd, or am I being stupid (possible..)

Damaged double glazed pop-top window
Hi all. Slight disaster! Friend stood up when the lid was down and - wallop. Cracked the inner pane of a double glazed panel. He said it hurt and I'm glad! What are my options? I've looked on Ebay with the expected little luck. Is this a custom made ££££ only option? And how do I post pics?? There d...

B-pillar water tank filler
Hi All Just got a new van (1983) 1.9 WBX, lovely exterior but interior needs totally gutting and starting again. There seems to be a water filler point on the B-pillar nearside that has been decommissioned by fibre-glassing the hole and putting a sticker over the top (nice). The filler hose is still...

Hella / ULO rear bulb holders same connectors?
Quick question - if I change over to Hella from the original ULO clusters are the connectors the same? Don't fancy resoldering or crimping!
Cheers..

Re: Seat slide mechanism clip things. Where do they go?!
Thanks for the info, starting to make sense now! So the closed end of the clip is just sort of "sandwiched" under the seat rail yes?

Seat slide mechanism clip things. Where do they go?!
Hi All. Got my seats back from the upholsterer this weekend (they look ace, will post some pics when they are fitted) and the clips that put downwards pressure on the seat slide bar/rod have fallen out. They apologised but gave me them disassembled rather than get things wrong. So how do they fit? T...
