You would expect a few things to be a little stiff after 12 years....you could give it a try and see what happens as personally i would be surprised if fresh fuel alone would make it purr like a tractor

Be interesting to hear what happens

By now you should have got a feel for the paint. Looks excellent actually. My starter failed on sunday.....took it off tonight.

I cant feel the oilite bush that has been mentioned.....and i cant work out how to look in and see it as its hard to reach.
Daft question.....does a diesel have a bush or are they different

I dont think that the temp will affect it at all. To get good adhesion you normally have to etch prime aluminium to get powder to stick.

Happy to help out with p coating if you can do the prep......

Sounds like a boost problem to me...usually manifest themselves at high load ie top gear.
