Re: Sliding door whats missing

How stupid of me. I've just checked now and it is obvious.

Many thanks Captain.

Sliding door whats missing

Hi, I have a 1988 Autosleeper, Trident that has a slot above the inside of the door handle. The door works fine, I can lock it from the outside, and it has a bolt that lets you lock it from the inside. Any ideas what was there or should be there? https://www.mediafire.com/convkey/0913/n36n1vmultrx56...

Re: Roofrack

Thanks for the info. My van is a Hightop which has a built-in roofrack towards the rear, with a ladder bolted to the rear of the van. I've looked on the autosleeper information website but no details. I like the idea of putting the awning up there as I don't have to weather proof it. Not going to us...

Roofrack

I have a 1988 VW Autosleeper, Trident, I want to carry an awning on the roofrack. The awning weighs 25Kgs.
I cannot find anywhere what the max load you can carry on the roofrack.
Any experience would be appreciated.

What is this logo

Hi, I've recently purchased my van, a 1988 Autosleeper, Trident, 1.9 Petrol DG, 4 speed. There is this logo on each side of the van, I think it is VW blurred. Can anyone tell what it is, and is it a transfer sticker or painted. I'd love to get a new one, any suggestions. https://www.mediafire.com/co...

Re: lumpy start first thing

Again many thanks all. I bought a tail pipe from Just Kampers, fitted it this morning, had to get new bolts but no problem. The old one had just 1/8" gap to the body. The new one has is 1/2" gap to the body. I stated it from cold, and purred like a kitten, thats the engine not me. I'll kee...

Re: lumpy start first thing

Thanks all for your suggestions. Its the later silencer, and has two brackets holding it on. I looked at Just Kampers, the earlier tailpipe seems longer, mine is the shorter version which looks correct. That leaves the suggestion of engine mounts, I can't really check them, so I'll have the garage l...

lumpy start first thing

Recently noticed this issue. When I start the engine first time of the day, the engine twitches and the exhaust tailpipe hits the bodywork. Almost immediately it runs smooth. When starting after or when warm no problem. (there is only about 1/8" gap between pipe and body) I took it to the local...

Re: 240v blown air heater.

Hi BBB,
Still fancy a propex when not on ehu. Didn't realise they were a bit noisy.
I'm still looking for the perfect solution, if its out there.

Re: 240v blown air heater.

I have recently bought a van, and am going away for a night next weekend. I too have a dog, and I don't like fans running in the night. I bought a 800w oil storage heater, http://amzn.eu/gtOw48d . If its still cold I like the look of the base board heater, except the fan. Wish I had a Propex, even s...

Many thanks all. Great answers from where to buy the part, to great alternatives.

Fridge lock

Hi, I've just purchased a 1988 Autosleeper, Trident. Just a couple of small jobs to do. One is the fridge has the lock missing. I've attached a pic of the unit, does anyone have an idea what sort of lock is needed and where I could get one from. Still finding my way around this great site, and my lo...
