Hi Have removed side sliding window from my van, now wish to refit with new rubber. Do i fix the rubber to the frame then fix it to the van using cord method as per windscreen fitting. The rubber is not a moulded shape but need's to be cut to length so is going to be difficult to bend to frame shape...

Will be sending jk one back as have not opened it, can send it in original packaging. Then will decide to get one from Brickwerks or Vintage vw parts. thanks everybody.Tony

Hi Just purchased a jk best quality screen rubber, is this the best choice. Have been reading negative reports on here about them. Any advice would be good Thanks Tony

Hi. Been reading up on rear seat belts, seems if you have them use them if not it is still ok for people to travel in the rear. Does anyone have a problem of seating a minor in the rear. My van is fitted with one inertia and one lap belt should i also have a child seat as my granddaughter is only 5 ...

As it has now rained i find i have leaks in both of my sun roofs at the rear corners. Can i adjust/ bend front prongs to give a tighter fit once closed. The locking position now is just not tight enough to give a good seal in the rear corners. Any suggestions gratefully received. thanks Tony

Hi Just been reading this article i have checked fuses, all good. Removed dash pod both dash light bulbs look ok, the centre bulb " full beam one" is missing. Is this why the two others do not work, has there got to be a continuity between all three to make them illuminate. Also one of the...

Anyone fitted upper control arm bushes, how hard is it to press the old ones out. Do i need the eccentric washers to go with them, i realise i will have to grind a weld off, but what then!. Any info gratefully received. Tony

Hi all
Been having trouble with sooty plugs, had mot done and the gas analyser read that it was actually running lean. I assumed it was running rich, can anyone tell me if i have the correct plugs. They are ngk bp6et the 3 pronged variety. thanks in advance. Tony

Ok If i go the route of repairing the widow cut out, does anyone know the thickness of the aluminium of the sliding window surround. I would have to fit new seals to these as apposed to the glass, need to know this to order the correct rubber. Thanks Tony

Hi all Does anybody know where i might get an oversize window for the off side where the cooker is. It has rusted on its lower edge, i would like to cut it out oversize instead of welding and filling it. Hi have bought and fitted a new expansion tank with blue cap, fit's ok, but when cap tightened cap nozzle faces the wrong way. Have made the pipe from top up tank fit by re/routing it has anyone had to do this. Tony
