CS to JX possible?
Hi guys! I blew the head gasket on my 1.6D a while back, and I'm finally in a financial position to repair it. Rather than strip it down, send off the head for skimming etc etc, I'm just going to buy a replacement engine from my local dismantlers. Currently fitted with a CS engine, would there be mu...

Re: Water pump part number confusion
Thank you! I'm not sure, I inherited it recently, it's been sat for a few years and the coolant tank popped when I drove it... Giving it a good flush this weekend, unless there's something else you'd recommend (with regards to the rust)?

Got the 'stat out quite easily. It just starts to open as the water is coming to boil (stuck it in a pan) so I don't think this was the problem.
Any thoughts as to the pressure build-up?

1.6D thermostat housing
Hi all, I have a Devon conversion which I'm fixing up slowly. It has a water cooled 1.6D (naturally aspirated). I did a small trip out in it which unveiled some problems, the biggest of which is the thermostat is seized shut (which showed itself by forcing the header tank to make a very satisfying '...
