Thx for the reply, we are defo putting a double bed up there, i was just wondering if most people would go that far back, i have been looking at pics on the net and modt seem to just have the hole around the size mine is currently, i see these slide out beds too. thx for the replies guys.

had a look 'inside' the roof yesterday, picking it up it does seem to wobble a bit so will probably need some sort of strengthener.

think i am going to call a few vw specialist garages and see what they recommend.

not overly bothered about barriers and not getting under them, but good point, just want it to be usable in the winter more so, thx for the comments so far guys.

my question is what guage wire do i need to buy.

the current one is relatively thick and red/black in colour.

cleaned all the wire terminals and battery terminals but still popping fuse 7.

think it may have something to do with the lead wire so having the local garage check it out.

maddening to say the least.
