Re: Attention happy weber 34dat owners
Possibly a pre heater plate? Could be wired up instead of the ‘hedgehog’ one in manifold? Idle jets 50 & 65 - tbh I reckon a 60 on secondary would suffice. Primary is a 125, with F30 emulsion tube & 175 air corrector. Secondary is a 170, with F25 emulsion tube & 180 air corrector. Could ...

Re: Attention happy weber 34dat owners
That’s close to the stock kit set values, tbh I found that had a horrible flat spot on mine. When I upped to the below it was far better. I’ve tweaked a little further but would have to double check what I’m running now as it has been quite a while. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20230628/2dd5b290...

Re: Attention happy weber 34dat owners
Right, just been out and taken a few shots of my 34Dat. 1) pipe I think you are referring to on mine is connected by a vacuum pipe to the elbow on top of the air filter housing. 2) pressure regulator would only be needed if using an electric pump supplying more than standard mechanical. 3) not sure....

Re: Attention happy weber 34dat owners
Does sound like a blocked jet. If it idles probably not the idle jet but more likely the primary. Very easy to pop out and clean. Remember when setting up with Gunson etc you are really only setting the idle mixture. Anything much above that is done by changing primary & secondary jets & air...

Re: Any metal fabricators in here…
Small update, hopefully successfully found a company that can produce & deliver two for not an extortionate amount of money.
Will see if they can outlast the current “genuine” replacements

Re: Any metal fabricators in here…
I am surprised that your iron baffle is corroding through in such a short period of time. Do you burn a lot of resinous wood? It’s not corroded through just badly warped. The original plate supplied with the stove around 8yrs ago was thick and durable. The now supplied one (with new stove & rep...

I did approach a couple of eBay sellers who said they can bend over a week ago, never heard back.
Stainless could be an option I suppose depending on cost.

Re: Any metal fabricators in here…
It may come to that yet, not sure if my little mig will handle 8mm but had considered two plates welding in stages from both sides set at the required angle.
I’ve a couple of feelers out but those with the equipment may not be interested in such a small job.

Any metal fabricators in here…
Any metal fabricators on here that can fold 8mm steel plate? Manufacturers of our stove have reduced thickness of the replacement baffle plate and even and sensible temps they are not lasting 6 months. Original plates were cast iron approx 7mm thick which lasted 6yrs+ , new ones are barely 5mm and I...

Earlier Sprinter/vw crafter jacks are ok, there’s a few variants I believe with different capacities but all have the shaped saddle. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/225375810335?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=KTjZjQucTcO&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=hIkDbbxUSGq&var=&wid...

Fitted one a few years ago but had issues with the potentiometer supplied with Pwm.
Not cheap but replaced with one of these:
