Ha ha, yes I can't deny that...but not as confused as a friend of mine who was out wild camping without mains hook up.. he wondered why his 230V Waffel Iron would not work...
I found a Westy wiring diagram so things are a bit clearer now..
Thanks for taking time to answer.

Re: Gel leisure battery ok for Westfalia chargers?
Thanks for the reply Martin! I guess I thought Gel batteries were superior and lasted longer than a lead acid battery but I see your point. Great input on the Numax charger. How would you wire this up to support the 220V outlet, and also 220v for the fridge (3 way or compressor)? Forgive me for perh...

Re: Gel leisure battery ok for Westfalia chargers?
Thanks, would be good to see if any of the users on this forum know of a suitable replacement for the Westfalia charger. One which can manage both the 220V and 12V system like the Westfalia charger.. I found this by the way... http://www.brick-yard.co.uk/forum/westy-onboard-charger-replacement-updat...

Re: Gel leisure battery ok for Westfalia chargers?
..ok..but can the old style Westfalia charger properly regulate voltage and current that a gel battery needs? " Some gel cell and AGM batteries may require special settings or chargers. Our units are selected for their suitability on the battery types they specify. Gel batteries generally requi...

Gel leisure battery ok for Westfalia chargers?
Hi, I'm looking at replacing my old leisure battery on my 1990 T25 Westfalia. Do anyone knows if the stock Westfalia battery charger can handle the modern gel batteries? I'm looking at the GEL EXIDE EQUIPMENT ES900 (replacement for the G80, advertised at Gunzl) http://www.tayna.co.uk/Exide-ES-900-EQ...

Re: Eber replacement.
Anyone got any inputs what the better diesel heater would be in a T25 westy; the EBERSPACHER AIRTRONIC D2 or Webasto AT 2000 ST?
It seem to me that with Eber you get a bit more in the kit if you buy it new, ex. the digital control unit, etc..

How about the external temp sensor, do you need one when the Webasto is fitted outside under the van?

Re: Eber replacement.
Webasto Airtop 2000 will fit in the casing - I persuaded Trucker to go that way after I had his Eberspächer running again. With a little ingenuity it can be done. Oldie but Goodie/Trucker, -any particular challanges you met? -Would you be able to describe what you did in terms of connecting the wir...

Re: Eber replacement.
Hi,
I am planning to do the same thing. Would you be able to give me some guidance on the subject?
Was the webasto the best choice? What did you have to do to get it working?
All info would be greatly appreciated!
Best Regards
Ollie

Re: Surrey Council Lane closure overturned.
If you saw them Simon and how they used to be its quite soul destroying, the gates blocking them off and the 30 ton excavations to level off a lane is really worrying. I have never done the Devon Lanes but our mate Ollie did on one of CJ's weekends and he said the Surrey lanes are quite similar (ov...

Re: Andreas-springs: Third round
While we wait for his reply; Andreas reccomended me the following TM shocks for his springs: rear: 052 070Tough (syncroservices) front: 052 071 The above mentioned 052 070Tough provides ~2,5cm more travel (at wheel ~ +4cm), while another version of the same shock, the 052 070HD provides ~5cm more su...
