As for the exhaust, I went for the the twin GT one from JK, but there's other options around.

Re: CU engine Carburetor indentification.
So in an update to the above, I'm not confident that the above carbs dont need a rebuild as well, which isn't something I want to do myself. Plus a rebuild of these isn't that far off buying a new pair. I have seen, and had a little read up on the Dellorto FRDA 36's below, does anyone have these fit...

CU engine Carburetor indentification.
Hello all, I have wanted to replace the gaskets on my carbs for a while as they are age unknown and worn, plus there is some repairs to one of the fuel chamber floats. Having looked around, but not had much luck really, as when I compare mine with the pictures I see, they are different. I know this ...

Re: Late Bay CU Type 4 / T25
That is not a bay engine, it is from a T25. Bang on, Thanks. I did think the same when I saw it. I have know spoken to the owner who's confirmed its a CU, which came from a 1980 T25. It's complete, turns over but hasn't been in a van for two years. It turns over freely and has all ancillarys with it...

Re: Late Bay CU Type 4 / T25
Didn't tappets / camshaft change from solid on the CJ to hydraulic in the CU as well. Be more ambitious with all the work that is involved and go for a 2.4  I've only recently got my unit so the current CU had to go straight in to the shell to get us up and running. A while back I remember rea...

Re: Late Bay CU Type 4 / T25
Thanks for the advice all. I haven't managed to speak to the owner as yet, but this is a photo of the engine, I'll hopefully get more info today. What I do know is its a CU code from a late bay, so it depends how 'late' I guess. At the very least I could use it for spares for my current engine. I'll...

Late Bay CU Type 4 / T25
Hi all, I wonder if anyone with a little more engine knowledge than me can answer a question? I've seen a late bay Type 4 CU air-cooled engine for sale, (I have the same in my van). So apart from the obvious tinware and mounting bars etc, is there any actual difference with the engine itself? I'm as...

Re: short shift mod
The short shift I fitted just raises the height of the gear change rod above the connection box. So can't see why that wouldn't work on any van.

Bumper Overriders?
Hello All, am I right in thinking that the Overriders I have seen on some T25s are US spec, and weren't available over here?
Also, will the late bay Overriders fit with a modification?
Thanks folks

Re: 2.0cu knocking noise rockers??
If you haven't adjusted or changed anything, it'll be drain down on one or more of the tappets. Mine had stood for over a year out of the bus, after adjusting the clearances (one was very loose) and an oil change, within 5 minutes it sounded like a like a well oiled sewing machine

Re: Early roller replacement
Cheers for the heads up, good news is I have found the stay open latch at the bottom of a very big box, with lots of other door related bits [THUMBS UP SIGN] I left the roller in penetrating oil overnight and gave it a thorough cleaning up, it's much smoother, and spins freely, so it's on the 'to do...

Re: Early roller replacement
https://youtu.be/M5UrduOCJws Thanks for the link, I had seen it from searching the forum previously, however, that's the later hinge which is completely different, the vertical wheel on the early one isnt held in by a nut, its inside the hinge, held in with a pin of some description which I'm guess...

Early roller replacement
One of today's jobs was to clean up the area under the sliding door cover. To get at it fully, I swung the door out of the way and thought I'd inspect the roller too. I'd like to replace all the rollers ideally, does anyone know how I can remove and then replace the roller from the middle hinge in t...

You could try Jack at Netherton A.R.C. cars & commercials ltd, he's very good.
