Re: Sticky gear selection.
if it hard to select gears with the engine off and with the linkage disconnected then either the spigot bearing has collapsed and is holding the input shaft (but if same with engine running then not likely) or there's a problem in the box, probably broken 3rd4th synchro hub, could be a relay lever ...

Re: Sticky gear selection.
Gearbox oil was changed when I had the bushes done last year. Clutch fluid / brake fluid up to full mark . Just greased all linkages from front to back and no change. I'll have to check the gearbox oil when I have more time.
Cheers guys .

Sticky gear selection.
Help, Would anybody be able to shed some light on why my gears have started to go sticky and hard to select. It's a 1.9dg with a 4speedbox . I had the boots and bushes all changed on the linkage on the box last year so should be good. Cheers [RECREATIONAL VEHICLE] Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

Re: New wheels, ideas on nuts.
I know it's a long shot but does anyone know what wheel nuts I need on the back. Longer studs already fitted but just wondering what nuts to use . Also tyre's are 225.55.17 . What do you think . To Subaru or not to Subaru ? ?
Just wondering what the repercussions of doing a Subaru conversion would be in the VW World, is it looked down upon or is it all ok. I'm currently running a 1984 1.9 DG and she managed to get up Mount Dinas the other weekend bouncing between second and third gear. So what are your thoughts ? Sent fr...

Upping a 1.9 DG
Has anyone ever bored out a 1.9dg to more bhp or would be easier to use the 2.1 heads on it ?

Re: 1.9dg 87 t25
I snapped two off in mine in the most awkward places possible , ended up just taking the engine out and sorting it on my bench.
put all the new exhaust on then put the engine back in .
morale of the story is if it can go wrong it will .lol .
Good luck.

Re: Heater fan problem
Consider doing my PWM mod to the blower too. Gets rid of the resistors. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3GzJ8N1Rqp8&t=19s" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I've done this mod and it's really worth doing, the wiki video helped with which parts to buy and how to install . W...
