Re: 1.8 engine
You could be sucking air in through one of the fuel lines or your filter might be clogging up.

Re: Cylinder Head Gasket
It leaks straight on to the ground. I bought a bottle of steel seal, but at the rate it flows out I'll probably need to strip her Down.

Tools
I've decided I'm going to fix my head gasket on my own. Can anyone tell me what special tools I need if any? I've got a full spanner and hammer kit. So I'm guessing I just need a listing ring compressor and that should be enough. Unless you know of someone local to me that knows t3s better than the ...

Cylinder Head Gasket
Been told that there is a bottle of stuff on the market that I can just put in my coolant to fix a leaking cylinder head ( Not sure what it's called, but it's 30 quid a bottle) I'm not a mechanic and don't have the tools to strip her down myself or I'd fix it properly. Can anyone confirm if it's wor...

Re: What's your average Mileage per year
:ok Exactly 1 mile under what's been agreed with the insurance co. Ditto, although they don't even ask me for current mileage anyway?! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I think that if your vehicle was involved in some sort of claim then the insurance company would ask for your paperwork; The MOT ...

Coolant Level ?
I've just replaced my coolant, and found that I could only fit in app 7 litres of the pink stuff!!! The manual says that my bus should take approximately 17.5 litres from empty :| I've removed the drain screw from the water jacket which is the lowest point, and i've removed both caps from the reserv...

Re: Overheating and oil warning light Question!
Did the oil pressure light start to flash after the "mechanic" took the stat out and are you getting the buzzer of doom at idle or above 2000 RPM? It could be that he has dislodged one of the oil pressure switch wires. What are the overheating symptoms and are you losing any coolant or ge...

Overheating and oil warning light Question!
Just had my engine rebuilt, she's a 1.9 wbx with 126000 miles on the clock. The mechanic told me he couldn't work out why she was constantly overheating so he's taken the thermostat out to allow the engine to keep cool when running, this is annoying because I can't get the inside warm on my morning ...

Re: 1.6td oil filler pipe leak
I had the same problem, there is a difference in the tolerance of the fit with the plastic pipe. I ended up fitting a good second hand complete pipe that I got from someone on here. I suppose you could wrap some heatproof tape round the tube a small piece at a time until you're happy with the fit. A...

I'd be happier with a replacement engine.... How much to drive down drop off and return? my Mrs likes to travel.
