Re: Starter motor
What's wrong with the current starter motor? I think is just the solenoid not conducting when energised, but have read in the forum that you need some special tool to strip & repair them so thought I would replace the whole thing if they were a reasonable price. Do you mean when the key is turn...

Re: battery being drained
USB charger sockets that are permanently connected will drain the battery if you have any?

Re: Rear kitchen - what a shame
Only my opinion but I am not keen on the layout. I have a pretty normal layout in my T25 with a swivel seat at the front and RnR bed at ther back. When the front seat is rotated you have a nice 'lounge' area to sit in. I think the layout in the one you are looking at would be a but of a squeeze! But...

Fitting Mudflaps
I have just bought a set of front and rear mudflaps to fit to my T25. They are second hand but unused in original packaging, and with all fittings as far as I can see but the only instructions supplied are for the front and are at best, a bit sketchy. They are supposed to be from JK, but a Youtube v...

Re: Fuel tank smell and overspill
Yes it will probably be all the seals. You could first try just replacing the filler tube grommet though as that can be done without removing the tank. Mine had split adn was causing the exact same problem. It could also be the other seals which are simple to replace but do require removing the tank.

Re: Double front passenger seat
I have one for a T25 but they were only fitted where there was a bukhead between the fron seats and the rear of the van and were held upright by that bulkhead. Not much use for a camper van unless the framae are heavily modified.

Re: No Power To Coil
I had the exact same problem and it turned out to be a 1980's Halfords type alarm immobiliser which was fitted behind the headlight grille. I didn't know it was there and neither did the previous owner! It immobilises the engine by cutting the 12V supply to the coil. The multi plug had totally corro...

Starter Motor Bush Replacement
Simple question... Can a worn starter motor bush (The one in the bell housing) cause a new starter motor to jam?

Re: Accident and Safe Prognosis
Just a note, but as the insured you are entitled to have your van fixed at the expense of the insurer whatever the cost. The insurers argue that it is not financially viable if it will cost more than what 'they' value it at but that is not the law. If you insist, they are obliged to pay. I say 'if y...

Re: 1.9DG dies off on acceleration
My DG starets fine but the engine will stall before it is properly warmed up when the throttle is pressed, unless you give it a little bit of a rev before letting the clutch out. I have always assumed it is to do with the automatic choke. It is fine once warmed up properly so I have never worried to...

Has anyone successfully fitted a set of opening quaterlights from NLAV? I have a set and I am struggling to fit them correctly.
