Just caught sight of a South African doka on FB ,take it they were still built in Germany ? Till the end .rather than the big window variations of the other models

Pop rivets try also try sourcing S/s hinge from sheet metal workers suppliers or fish chip shop range makers for all the length required

If you are thinking of unorthodox methods of hinging you would be better of using Piano or continuous length hinge , not the type you get from the local ironmongers it's not suitable for external use , but coach builders stockholders will stock or get, undrilled and perhaps brass or stainless as l h...

Hi spray painter suggested l take out wiper spindles for better finish ?? Can l do this and renew washer tubes without actually taking dash out by slackening or perhaps beneficial to do other well documented jobs by removing completely heater bearings ok but is it only a matter of time !!

Anyone here used fibreglass doka treasure chest door skins from Brickwerks ,not doubting quality ,they say they are bonded on, do they replace existing skin ie ,removal of original and bonded to frame ,or over clad ,how s the finish around hinge area ? And generally how good are GRP panels etc when ...

Just watching Ed China fettling a Messerschmitt micro car and a very skilled guy making new hub caps .For you purists out there it surely can't be that hard to make decent replicas with VW logo has. Anyone tried?Just thought I would pose the question
