Can someone advise me. When changing from JX Engine to AAZ which dipstick is used the JX one or the AAZ. Really worried about getting that wrong so any help greatly appreciated!

Putting a new aaz in the syncro this weekend but the original jx exhaust manifold heat shields are beyond repair. Would it be unwise to run the van over the winter months without them? I've an oil cooler fitted although that's probably irrelevant! :shock: The AAZ didnt have shields on manifold like ...

Failing that workin, I think my mechanic was going to just do it up and see how it runs. Its not jamming just you can feel it rubbing more tightly at certain positions as it's rotating

The new oil pump I have from Brickwerks turns freely on the bench but when lightly tightened into the aaz block(not in vehicle yet) becomes quite tight to turn (turning it with the vacuum out). I'm converting my syncro 1.6td to a 1.9td aaz. We're going to use the aaz pump but not sure if I will need any parts such as the Jx lda to make it fit. I'm going to sell my JX pump if I don't need anything from it to cover some costs. Any advice kindly appreciated!
