Re: Paint rub/fade
Thank you both! It doesn’t feel any different to the touch in terms of layers, so will give it a buff over the weekend and report back.

Paint rub/fade
We’ve recently been away for 4 days with the awning rubbing against the cab door, which seems to have left a lighter section of paint. Has it taken off the top coat? Can anyone diagnose it? I will see if it is something that will buff out with a bit of polish [emoji2369] https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn...

Re: Engine cover/lid insulation and sound deadening
Hey Bamboobilly, I just recived my BlazeCut to mount on my steel lid, and it’s gonna look pretty much like yours. Anyhow alittle doubt, the zip ties on the top and bottom are only attached to the metal wires that’s holding the insulation? Thanks in advance [emoji112][emoji4] Hi Correct but I’d also...

Re: What would you put with pastel white?
I’m a huge fan of bamboo yellow...but I am biased! Our wheels are pastel white https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20210424/c8dff33bc143387bf4d4c72422a74976.jpg I’ve always liked VW’s choice of colours, but according to these, the only colour which goes with pastel white is pastel white [emoji12] https...

Re: Engine cover/lid insulation and sound deadening
Bamboo Billy, when you say the retainers are like a wire coathanger, are they completely bendable and stay in whatever shape you've bent them to (like a coathanger) or are they 'springy' and try to return to that circular shape? Cheers, Ian Hi Ian, they are fairly springy from memory, but the lin...

Re: Engine cover/lid insulation and sound deadening
Thanks All, really useful. I might give Mick a call and see if he has any originals if not I'll see what I can find lying around in the tip that is my garage! Bamboo Billy, seriously considering a Blazecut too - which length is that one you've installed? 2m or 3m?. Read too many horror stories a...

Re: Engine cover/lid insulation and sound deadening
I replaced mine with NoiseKiller. The retainers are a bit like a metal coat-hanger which just tuck in. Attached a Blazecut extinguisher with some cable ties at the same time

We’ve just had our seats upholstered by Vanessa at www.vnupholstery.com in Surrey as recommended by BB above and couldn’t be happier! Re: Stereo swap, ISO wiring harness adaptor
Great thank you Multisi and Rob!
I’ve had a look at both BW & Halfs and I don’t think either have a ‘plug & play’ adapter which will link to the existing loom... I’ll have to chop and rewire I think!

Stereo swap, ISO wiring harness adaptor
Hi forum! I’m in the process of a radio/stereo swap (to a completely ott touch screen DAB) but before I splice all the existing wires, I wonder if anyone knows if there’s an adapter out there which can match to the new stereo wiring? I’d rather not have to splice up in case I ever wanted to swap bac...

I’m hoping replacing the grommet (early handle part # 251843711) will sort out my saggy handle!
