Fast tick over once warm.
I have a 1986 1.9 petrol van with a pierburg 2E3 carb. It has recently developed a very irritating fault and I’m hoping that someone will point me where to look for a cure. It starts and runs perfectly on the choke but the revs seem to increase once the van has warmed up. It used to run on choke for...

Could any of you clever people tell me if the number 1 fuse (30a) which I believe is radiator fan and number 2 fuse (10a) which I believe is the brake lights should be permanently live. I have a flat battery issue (battery less than a year old) and have been doing some digging, alternator belt renew...

Could one of you lovely people please take a picture of the white plastic dash light bulb holder showing the position of the small metal reflector in the holder. Both of my light holders have lost the metal inserts and I would like to stick them back in but can not work out how they fit! The metal p...

Cleaning the steering wheel.
Does anyone have any ingenious methods for removing 30 years worth of grime from a standard T25 steering wheel? Mine is quite grubby and just feels horrible , any tips to save on elbow grease or is it just hard work needed?

Re: Great weekend away need to stop whistling windows
I had a problem with whistling on both sides, tried deflectors but no better, then by chance i saw a picture of a door seal on a site and noticed that mine had come out slightly from the recess it is supposed to fit in to all around both doors, 2 minutes to gently tuck it back in and hey presto whis...

Re: Help, sliding door problem.
Red face time (again! ), I had a eureka moment at 5 am this morning , when fitting the carpet edging strip by the door i used a different self tapper in one of the holes, it was a bit longer than the originals and was fouling the bottom runner. The door closed because it had bent the screw on the wa...

Trackers and immobilisers
Does anyone have any advice on which tracker and/or security systems are best, do you have to spend a fortune? I already have a hidden switch which prevents the van from starting, its pretty low tech i know and if they really want the van its going to go. There are plenty of self fit options on e-ba...

Do any of you lovely people know of any good and reliable interior fitters? My van is looking extremely shabby inside and its time for a proper refit. The units are fine its just the cloth linings that need replacing. Any advice appreciated, thanks.
