Re: LifPo Leisure Battery capacity - 100Ah enough...?
In the usual spirit of 'f##k it' purchases, I've ordered cells and BMS from Fogstar. Off to France next Sat evening...lets see if I can get it in and panels up before then . The things I do for a cold beer... Such a dangerous hobby. I've ended up with a Victron MPPT, Victron B2B charger, Vict...

Re: Horn shorting with replacement indicator stalk
At the left hand side of the steering column there's an allen bolt that clamps the whole ignition switch casting and stalks assembly onto the column. You can get at it through a hole in the lower cowling. Loosen it and move the ignition switch away from the steering wheel a couple of MM. You might ...

Horn shorting with replacement indicator stalk
Wondering if it's just a poor quality aftermarket part but I'm having some issues with the horn which has become a corner detector. Seems the slip ring is shorting against the replacement indicator stalk I got. I replaced the slip ring too to see if that helped but no joy. Any suggestions for either...

Re: Vacuum Advance Unit, are these interchangeable?
the 043 part number says its not for DG, it might fit but it's not right, only T25/T3 is CT WAN variant, non electronic ignition; I think, that's my reading of parts catalogue you want 025 905 271 C part number Thanks, think that pretty much agrees with what I'm thinking. Looks like my options are ...

Vacuum Advance Unit, are these interchangeable?
Looking for vac advance unit for my 1.9DG (025905271C) but sadly out of stock on brickwerks - https://brickwerks.co.uk/product/vacuum-advance-unit-t3-1-9l-dg/ JK seem to think that 043905271 will fit (J10196), not in title but buried in description. Can't see any other sites mention this fitting a D...

Re: Hi Top to Pop Top conversion?
Any indication of what the body is like where the high-top meets the roof? Mine was in some state! I wasn't really bothered at how my welds and repairs looked as I was putting the high-top back on, but would imagine it'd be quite a difficult part to weld up to any good standard. https://i.imgur.com/...

Re: Replacing the dashboard plastic PCB
I had forgotten about this thread. I had some PCBs printed back in 2019 by using some of the circuits and images from earlier in this thread. Was having a dig around the shed and came across a couple of these. If anyone wants one, give me a shout. Have one unpopulated board and one mostly populated ...

Reusing Flywheel Bolts
So discovered it's not a good idea... After having the engine out (1.9 DG) to sort out the exhaust studs, decided to replace clutch plates, and have a general check-over of other things like flywheel. On reassembling and firing up, I had an awful metal clicking sound. Used the hose trick to identify...

rickwerks refer to them as "them funny ones" but only stock the rubber boot. https://www.brickwerks.co.uk/t3-parts/electrical/terminals-and-connectors/rubber-boot-t3-wbx-coolant-temp-sender.html Perhaps easier to convert to the more common rectangular "junior timer" switches and...

Re: Coolant Temp Sensor Plug shape - What's it called?
Thanks for the tips. Typically I've just filled up with fresh coolant after having the engine out to drill out and retap some exhaust studs. I'll likely go with spades for now and switch to what ajsimmo suggests on next coolant change. In the meantime, I guess I'll keep searching around for the D-sh...

Coolant Temp Sensor Plug shape - What's it called?
Looking for the female plug that goes onto the round 2-pin temperature sensor. Currently have 2 spade connectors on the wires which are quite loose but would be nice to switch back to the correct plug instead of crimping new spades on. Anyone know what it's called to search for? Tried various things...

Hope all is OK with CJH. Tried to get one of these a few weeks back but also didn't get a reply. Decided to have a bash at replicating this as it's a really neat bit of kit!

Re: 5kw Fuel air heater
This is what I'm getting I don't thinks it's the frequency of the fuel pump pulses because when you tap the up arrow the fan goes faster and the heat bellows out it goes up to 5.5hz http://i1156.photobucket.com/albums/p578/thelord52/20190327_112721_zpsb66drkvb.jpg Not htz but I will try what mocki ...
