Re: 1.9DG to 2.1DJ engine swap
The 1.9 DG engine that I rebuilt lasted about 800 miles and disintegrated on the M 40 in some style. Following that Ian Holman built me a refurbished 2.1 DJ working on the carburettor. It has transformed my syncro. More power across the board no problem with hills very happy cruising around 60, and ...

Re: Campervan Ovens
Used a Remoska for years. Works well and versatile. Comes in 400 W and 550 W forms. No problem running off electric hook up. Quite expensive now. philipmcC

Re: radiator fan wiring
Yes I do have the relay and the fuse is okay. The radiator fan just stopped working and I had a problem with overheating. I guess it could be the radiator fan switch at the radiator. When I powered up the fan separately it made a rumbling noise and didn't go very quickly. It's the three leads from t...

radiator fan wiring
In the middle of replacing the radiator fan on my 2.1 W BX van. Have dropped radiator and removed the cowl . The wiring to the back of the old fan was two red wires to one post, and and an off white wire to the other. The new fan I've got from brickwerks has three wires, a red wire with a black str...

headlamps brightness boost
Sorry if this has been discussed before. Which is better, converting headlamps to LED, or using the campervan culture new wiring kit with extra relays?.philmcC

Re: Sliding door won't shut
I had the same problem. Checked YouTube for explanatory videos. Several on their very helpful. Having taken the door card off I have given the mechanism a good spray of WD-40 followed by lubrication with three in one oil, seems to have done the trick. I would have a go at disassembling if not succes...

Re: Replace 1.9 Engine with 2.1 or Subaru?
I have a 2.1 WBX stealth engine on carburettor built by Ian of Holman Engineering.
It is an excellent engine and does everything I would want in my syncro Autohomes Komet.

Ignition light and dashboard lights not working.
This happened after my ignition light started flickering and then went out. Looked at all the bulbs and wiring for the dashboard and ignition switch, no issues. Had a look in the engine bay and found the blue wire to the alternator had come adrift. Cleaned it all up and reattached and bingo everythi...

Re: Propex help please
My heater is a 1600 compact, and if originally fitted circa 1986. The PCB was in a little black box with a cable coming out of it going into the body of the heater. I opened the little black box, the PCB had six spade attachments. I took a picture of the setup then disconnected the spade terminals l...

Re: Propex help please
I had a similar problem with my propex heater in my Komet. Checked all the wiring as you have done. Eventually I removed the PCB and sent to Propex. They tested it repaired it and sent it back for about £30. Fitted up and bingo all working again. They were very helpful, but are quite a small outfit ...
