Re: Connect phone to in car stereo for music?

Ah, your collection is far more extensive than mine, I got the 16gb version! Obviously the jack I'm buying is to play the phone through the van's stereo thereby not having to carry my library with me. I have found that the phone works on MP3 files but seemingly not WMA. Are you experiencing this pro...

Re: Connect phone to in car stereo for music?

Yes, thanks for that. I've subsequently found a Huawei forum and posted regarding the settings. I mentioned the radio scenario and the advice is to use the Aux. Many thanks to you all,
Richard

Re: Connect phone to in car stereo for music?

Thanks again, I'm struggling a little with the phone settings so as soon as I'm sorted I'll post the result!

Re: Connect phone to in car stereo for music?

Thanks for that. The USB cable provided uses a separate port on the phone to charge and synch to my laptop, the connection is not from the 3.5 jack. I've managed to trace the stereo handbook, It states the Aux input jack as 'stereo mini jack' and can be used to connect portable audio devices. The US...

Connect phone to in car stereo for music?

I've just bought the Chinese version of a smart phone - Huawei Ascend. It's a great toy I'm struggling to understand! I want to play my music off the phone through the stereo. I believe I use the 3.5mm jack on the phone, but do I connect it to the USB or the Aux on the stereo? And what is the name o...

Re: Holmesly Bay - is it REALLY that bad??

We've booked for three nights at end August. Very much the opposite of our ideal, just happens to suit in this instance. I checked the reviews on uk campsites and trip advisor, as you would expect for a site this size it's a mixed bag. The reviews from the 'couples' are particularly revealing! I'll ...

Re: Tialgate strut fitting....

Thanks very much for that. The problem was with the strut itself; from your attached diagram the flange at 11 and the ball joint at 3 face the same way. On the strut they are at right angle to each other making it impossible to fit. Prospective son in law (clever lad!) took screwdriver and pliers to...

Tialgate strut fitting....

I've bought the repacement struts from Brickwerks. On my van the openings of the ball end and the body end face the same way. On the replacement the ends are at right angles to each other. I can't turn them to match. Am I being thick, missed a trick, bought the wrong part or have an odd tailgate. I ...

Thanks Bikermike, but you haven't met the other half; wild camping - out of order! But we will keep an eye out for you.

Re: Ullswater

Thanks again for your input. We' had always thought of travelling non motorway for part of the journey, so will head straight for Patterdale on the A road. We're not encumbered with children so still keeping an eye out for a fairly basic campsite.
Thanks,
Richard

Ullswater

We're planning on July and have Patterdale in mind as our base for the week. We're from Bristol doing some motorway and some not, overnighting enroute. Studying the OS it's obvious that the approach from the south on the A592 will be 'challenging' Will I make it or would I be best staying on the M6,...

Front seats

My girlfriend has offered to buy them (comes under the heading of gift horse and mouth, lucky me). At mom we have odd standard seats and want to replace with matching swivel. I see mention of the volvo one and also captain (do you get volvo and captain?). Any input as to what type and how easy they ...

Re: unidentified instrument panel

Well I think I'm as confused about your threads as you appear to be about mine.
Put simply, I'm looking for a speedo. If you have one that is of no use to you, then I'd like to buy it.

Re: unidentified instrument panel

I think I'm following this thread correctly.
My speedo, kph, works perfectly but the odometer is no-op due a broken small plastic cog. If your panel is useless, would you like to sell me the speedo with it's little cog intact please?
Thanks, Richard
