Re: Rear hatch lock seal

The late and early tailgate lock is different. As you know the early tailgate has a smaller diameter lock to the later tailgate. However!!! The whilst the barrel (plug - inner part that rotates with the key) of the lock is also different between the early and late. Both types use the same key profil...

Re: No ciarette lighter or rado

Was going to say make sure that the 12v leisure mod has not been done? If it has been done then if done correctly it should have an inline fuse to protect the wire from the leisure battery. Sounds like you have found this now? But check why the fuse has blown? - is the wire worn/damaged and groundin...

As you can see the lock bodies are different and the tail piece differs also.
Needs to be re-waffered.

Re: Door locks.

I think most has been covered above. These locks are wafer locks (wafer is the correct term) I have re-wafered numerous locks. To answer your unanswered question (3).... The late tailgate lock WONT fit in an early tailgate!! The lock/key profile and wafers are the same but the lock casing is larger ...

Re: Spoiler Referb

Hopefully not too late - painting things like this never lasts. As soon as you catch anything and you get a bit of flex it with crack and peel. https://www.amazon.co.uk/d/Automotive/Forever-Black-Bumper-Trim-Cleaner-Reconditioner-Dye/B001MPY436 I've used the above before and it tends to work well -...

Hope this helps

Thanks Cassandra, good valid points/advice :ok

Re: Tailgate fitting

Great stuff, and much appreciated. I don't have the key to the later lock so glad its not needed! It's been stored up for a while and I can't get to just now, but other than the locks, are there any other differences in fitting/looks etc ? I bought it along with a pass + driver's door last yr alrea...

Re: Tailgate fitting

Ive been wondering this myself, as I have a later tailgate to fit to ours. So if I remove the lock from my current early one, will I just have to replace the later lock with the early internals? Thanks Hi, Yes. Remove both locks from their doors and strip down. This involves removing a split pin on...

Re: Tailgate fitting

Hi will a early tailgate fit a late T25 Yes, changed mine late for an early one. Just beware the lock aperture and lock is different, meaning you can't just swop the locks over. You either will end up with a separate key for the tailgate (the early lock) or do what I have done, re-key the early loc...

Re: Spoiler Referb

Unless you're looking for perfection, I'd just spray it with a rattle-can - you can get cheap large cans from Halfords, gloss or matt. If you want perfect (and remember, it's not going to stay perfect for long), then you need to fill the scrapes and scratches before you start. Thanks tforturton, Th...

Re: External Vents on Westy Joker

At least I'm not alone. My westy was originally from France, thought it may have been a French regulation or something. Where did you get your replacements from Craig? Hi McNab, It could be a french reg thing? You have additional vents on both sides i.e where the fridge is and where the heater is/w...
