Leisure Battery/Wiring

Hello folks,

Just acquired another T25...looking for a recommendation for someone to fit and check wiring on a leisure battery.

I'm in Fort William way but down in Glasgow and up in Inverness a lot....

Any thoughts much appreciated.

Thanks,

Bryan

would you go back to a 12v/gas fridge? or do you not have the room Louey, the fridge I gave you was gas only I think but we were never happy with the idea of a gas fridge being on all night - call us paranoid but we had a bit of an issue in our old flat in Edinburgh which could have ended in disast...

Okay Mocki...but that would mean no coldness when parked. Eff all use, surely? As for it being "wired", I just use the 12v dc plug in cigaretter lighter type thing which the Leisure Battery has, guess I could hook it up to the main battery but, as I say, no fridge when parked so not...

Fridges/coolboxes....that sort of thing.

So, we have the mini cooler now in the van due to not having the wherewithal for the gas fridge. Long story, not changing it now. HOW and EVER, I think it is a poor and very power hungry solution (sorry, don't have technical specs to hand) and it's running off the Leisure Battery. This is fine when ...

Brilliant, ta. Will try that. Is "official" Volks stuff orderable (? is that a word?) online? I've tried using the VW GB site before for window rubbers but to no avail....

Expansion tank cap needed - we think!?

Hello all, question on behalf of my brother in law what I am visiting down here in sunny (today anyway!) Lincolnshire. He's just acquired a 1987 diesel and will be on here with all manner of questions shortly (username "Nige" so be nice to him).... Anyroad, we went to get the van home toda...

Electrolux rm122b FRIDGE

Here's a thing...during the grand refurb necessitated by events catalogued in detail on the blog (below) we've had a think about our fridge situation. We have the above model and have only ever used it as a "coolbox" by putting frozen water bottles in and allowing "ambient cooling&quo...

cupboard doors....

Hi folks,

going to re-do the cupboards after the vandalism and reckon it's worth doing the lot at once. It's manky chipboard-y stuff at present. Thinking MDF or ply would be better....any suggestions please?

Cheers folks...all help much appreciated!

Upholstery fabric...

Hey folks,

Can anyone help please? Need some advice on type (thickness? I dunno...) of material to use to cover new foam for RnR bed in my T25. Any thoughts please? How "heavy duty" does it need to be? Any good (and cheap!) suppliers out there....?

Cheers!
