Re: intermittent starting problem
I don't know too much but if there is a vacuum pipe connected you could check it for signs of wear and pull it of to see if there is fuel in the pipe. If there is, then the diaphragm is likely gone. I don't have that engine so I'm not sure of the exact setup.

Re: Got an electric fuel pump on a DG or DF?
I just disconnected mine, its been on just 12 months and the regulator was seeping petrol, must have done 600 miles at the most. It was a kit put together by Heritage but the instructions were poor and the kit included parts that were not needed. Little or no advice from them and yet they sell these...

Re: Solex PICT 34 on a 1.9 DG
First of all, I cannot believe its another year on from my original post... I am sorry that I have not been in touch. I still have not managed to do anything with the carb but now I have the time and looking at my options. I have the Solex still on there and it is definitely a DG engine. solex4.JPG ...

Re: Solex PICT 34 on a 1.9 DG
Thanks chaps. I'm going to go for the rebuild kit and go from there. I'll keep an eye out for a pierburg and inlet manifold etc on the usual sale sites and change it over in time.

Re: Recommendation - Matress for my T25
I used http://www.gbfoamdirect.co.uk for my top bed cushions They were well priced and good. But... I thought I would get it slightly thicker for comfort and guess what, I didn't give any consideration for the roof coming down and I could not close it! I only made it an extra inch. I had to improvis...

Re: Rear seat belts and R n R seat/bed?
Mine is a Devon and the anchor points were fine, I would have thought they would be standard from the factory. I also have a steel RnR bed and neither of these probably helps you :) However, be weary of the cushions as they are probably not fixed and this can be a safety issue, sliding out in the ev...

Re: Solex PICT 34 on a 1.9 DG
update... I searched the technical and wiki and all I had to do was look a few lines down and see another Solex DG post! I have all the same issues. It must have been a DF engine before, I have the rubber mount. Still need some advice on the best choice of 1, 2 or 3 though. Running with an el...

Solex PICT 34 on a 1.9 DG
Hello there, I have an 84 Devon Moonraker (33 years in the family) with a 1.9 DG engine, this is not the original engine, it was replaced about 15 years ago and I'm not sure what was there before, my dad was talked into it at the time. As the title suggests, I have a PICT 34 on there and I have been...

Re: Electric fuel pump 1.9dg
Thanks, I might fit a priming switch in the future then. After hours of faffing about, the relay that I bought is DOA. Some notes. I took the live from point 1 on the coil (single green wire on mine), the pump works fine and all is good. When I go to point 15 as it says in the instructions (3 black ...

Re: Electric fuel pump 1.9dg
Hello, I am after some advice please. I have a DG engine and exactly the same problem and decided to fit an electric fuel pump I have mounted the pump but after looking online and seeing the messages about "better to fit a cut off relay", I decided to get one. I have the relay and just mou...
