I have noticed that my accelerator spring on my 2.0 Aircooled seems very stretched and a bit homage with loads of slack
I read a recent article about someone who replaced the spring and flounder there van loads quicker
Anyone know where I could buy the right spring please

In think the van is in new of a new battery as I you leave it a couple of days it turns over bit doesn't start. I'm not sure what battery the my 2.0 air cooled should have can someone advise please

Ive gone to do the clutch master cylinder, so I started by checking I could bleed at the slave cylinder but don't seem to have a spanner to fit.... does anyone know what sixe it is please?

Hi,
just thinking of security, years ago my dad you to fit a switch under the dash that if you didn't flick it on the engine you to turn over but never start.
I cant remember how he did this. Any advice how I can do this... seems simple but effective deterrent

thanks for all the advice guys, ive taken a day off in peace to have ago at doing this, ive got all the bits I need.
So just to confirm on the Aircooled I check the bleed nipple on the slave cylinder first... to make sure I can bleed. it.
is it easy to see? or is it a knuckle scraper

sorry for the delay and thanks for the help. When I got the van I noticed the brake fluid a biot low so I topped it u and then it leaked.... never goes fully down which makes me thinks its the clutch cylinder at the front. there is oil and its at the back of the pedals...... is there anything else i...

Ive had a brake fluid leak under the pedals... I pulled the clocks out and check the brake switch... bone dry and so is the brake master cylinder so I guess its the clutch master which is what I suspected... although not effected the clutch performance. I have watched a you tube vide how to do it......

spaying a van with coach paint
just some advice please, I hand painted my van with coach paint... and it looked ok, but I can spray so want to have a go with a spray gun. My question is... i didnt primer with the coach paint just rubbed it down... do i need to primer when spraying it? if so can I use and primer... i.e cellulose.?...

the cheapest I found for the foil bubble wrap was screwfix. I also used the recycled plastic rolls from bnq for the bigger bits.
